314. The Bad Luck Wedding Cake (Geralyn Dawson)

Fort Worth in 1876 -- I assume it's much bigger now.

Synopsis from Amazon:
Pretty and talented Claire Donovan moved to Fort Worth to get away from her interfering family and unwanted fiancee. Having been taught from a young age how to be a baker, Claire plans to open her own confectionery shop without anyone in her family knowing about it. Claire has a secret weapon to make her business a success. She has a secret recipe that has been handed down in her family. A special potion called 'magic' will add that extra zing to her baked goods. Fort Worth's most eligible bachelor, Tye McBride, vows never to fall prey to female machinations again. However, his brother and sister-in-law leave him in charge of his three nieces as they travel out of town for a time. He is also left in charge of the building that his brother rented to Claire Donovan. Tye is quickly drawn to the lovely lass and warily steers clear of her and her heavenly cooking. Nonetheless, Claire and Tye strike up a friendship, which is tested when fates conspire to leave Tye's nieces without parents. To win permanent guardianship of the girls, Tye must wed and wed quickly.
